What user types do you support?

There are basically 3 types of users:

  • Writers

This is probably your biggest group. Writers can edit pages, create new pages,…

  • Readers

This is reserved for people you would like to give access, but that are not allowed to change content.

  • Administrators

These can invite new users, delete pages,.. You may have many Administrators, there is nothing wrong with giving everyone Administrator access if you want to give your team full editing and maintenance capabilities.

However note that there always needs to be exactly one Site Administrator. This person is by default the one that creates the Wiki, but that can be changed at any time. We need this person as the administrative contact for your company. We would address issues on invoicing and other issues regarding your subscription to the email referenced on the Site Administrator’s account.

How can I add users?

Go to the Admin->Users menu for the ‘Invite Users’ page. Here you can type the email addresses of your users. Each user receives an email invitation to set their password. To add a set of users in one go, simply copy and paste them in the ‘Invite users’ page.

Can non-registered users access the Wiki?

No, everybody is required to log in.
